Our Family's Journey Through Time
The twentieth Jones family reunion was again held in Illinois with Fred and Betty Heidenreich being the host and hostess. There were 46 people present at this reunion. They attended from Michigan, Arizona, Florida, and Illinois.
One of the highlights of this reunion as visiting "The Moving Wall". It was in Pontiac for a week. It was very interesting even in the heat.
Another highlight was the arrival of the Family History, which Vivian has been working on. We had a lot of page stuffing to do, but it was worth it. Vivian wants to remind everyone who has not submitted their family history to do so. We want everyone included.
Once again we had a potluck dinner and supper on Saturday, with a large variety of foods and desserts. We filled in with hot roast beef sandwiches and more desserts.
We also had bingo and the craft sale ($181.15), and again and they both seemed to be very welcomed. Cards, baseball, and volleyball also took the limelight.
We had one birth this year. It was a little boy, Paul Allen Durre on April 12,1989. He is the son of Bill and Cynthia Heidenreich-Durre and the grandson of Fred and Betty Heidenreich. On Sunday we had our business meeting. It was well attended. It was voted on and approved to have the reunion every year and to keep it June 22nd. Rollan and Marilyn Jones will host the 1990 reunion in North Carolina.
A few of the games we played were a few silly tidbits such as:
Hopefully everyone had a good time.
