Our Family's Journey Through Time
Friday Vivian set up the conversation club with the able assistance of Dolores Mitchell, Ann Thoms, Sandra Sampsell, David and Judy Jones.
In the evening a select group of people showed up for lunch and to set up the cake for the Anniversary party. Saturday morning everyone gathered at the Hall for a lunch of hot dogs and sloppy joes. Many visiting was done with friends that hadn't been seen for a long time. The Open House then started at 4:00 p.m. with many friends and relatives paying their respects to David and Elverda Jones. Many lovely gifts were received and a lovely cake was served. A cold buffet was set out and enjoyed by Approx. 80 people.

A lovely and entertaining speech was given by David P. Jones relating the many travels of the Jones family. We then had a silent auction and many valuable itens were sold with Joe Manis now flying back commercial because of all the valuables he purchased.
Horace Hutchins won a head warmer which will get much use.
After noon lunch Ann opened the meeting with 82 people present. Many people present from out of state. Vivian was in charge. Flately denied this. David recognized for presentation and requests made for copies. Silent auction was success and Joe bought pot holder for $6.21. Horace turned down wig. Discussion was held on whether he should be allowed credit. Expenses of $496.73. Dues came to $440.81. Extra cost $9.82.
There were three weddings in the past year. The first being Cheryl Jones married to Paul Cash on July 29, 1978. The second being Dennis Jones married to Barbara Whiteside, November 4, 1978. The last being David Heidenreich and Lauri Harris married on January 27, 1979. There was only one birth, David Kurtis born July 3, 1979.
Minutes were approved without discussion. Vivian proposed the next reunion to be in Illinois. Sonny volunteered and then cancelled. Much discussion. Vote on whether to have reunion every 2 years. Plan to have it next year and then decide. Passed to have reunion next year. Sonny asked for an official audit. Meeting then closed. Pan handed out prizes for games.
