1971 - Paw Paw, Michigan

The second Jones Family Reunion was held June 19, 1971 at Paw Paw, Michigan. There were 38 people present at this reunion.

They once again consumed large amounts of barbecued chicken, hamburgs and all the trimmings.

Since the first reunion, there was one wedding in 1971, when Mark Jones and Rose Gaskill were married on March 20, 1971 at Lake Villa, Illinois. Mark is the son of Donald and Phyllis Jones and Rose is the daughter of Dee and Patricia Gaskill.

One new grandson was born since the last reunion. That little guy was Brian David Jones, on June 12, 1971 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His parents are David and July Jones.

Various games of baseball, volleyball, horseshoes, and one new game of water fighting was enjoyed by young and old. In fact a few of the older ones enjoyed the water fight more than the young ones. Kids will be kids.

Later in the afternoon, visiting and cards were enjoyed by everyone.

The meeting this year was arranged and handled by Vivian Hutchins. It was agreed to have another reunion in 1972.

The birthdays of David L. Jones and Evelyn Hassinger were celebrated.
