1981 - Wisconsin, USA

1981 Annual Jones Family Reunion

Approximately 42 people were at the reunion, held June 27th and 28th at Don and Roseann's.

Lunch was brats, hot dogs, sloppy joe's and a Wisconsin Corn Roast. Dinner consisted of Bar B Q Ribs and hot beef.

Futherest traveled from Florida were Dolores Mitchell and Elverda Jones, Tammy Jones, daughter of Donald and Phyllis Jones, surprised everyone by flying from Florida for the reunion.

Breakfast consisted of eggs and bacon and pancakes. Chocolate pancakes, original recipe by Chef Rose Jones, wife of Mark Jones.

There was a death in the family since the 1980 reunion. David Jones, loving father and grandfather, died November 6th, 1980

There were also 2 births and 1 marriage, a daughter was born to David and Lauri Heidenreich on September 5th, 1980, she was named Shauna Beth. A boy was born to Dennis and Barbara Hones and gifted with his fathers name, Dennis Lee Jones, Jr., on December 7th, 1980. Cynthia Heidenreich and Bill Durre were married on April 4th 1980.

Youngest member was Shauna Beth, daughter of David and Lauri Heidenreich, 10 months. Oldest was Joseph Hall, uncle of Roseann Jones, who visited the reunion, age 91.

The 1980 reunion notes were read. The treasure's report was read and approved. The discussion on who was going to have the reunion next year came up. North Carolina was brought up. Too expensive for the young people. Sonny and Marilyn are going to host the next years reunion. Dues will be free. Sonny will provide the food. Bring your own beer. Date of the reunion will be changed, third weekend in June. It was voted for Don and Roseann to keep the balance of $19.45 for expenses.
