Jones-Crandall Family History

Our Family's Journey Through Time

June 23, 1973 - Flannagan, Illinois, USA

The fourth reunion of the Jones Family was held June 23, 1973 at the home of Fred and Betty Heidenreich in Flannagan, Illinois.

Since the last reunion, there were 2 weddings. Pamela Sue Hutchins, daughter of Horace and Vivian Hutchins and Larry Jacobs, son of Ronald and Eleanor Jacobs, were married July 15, 1972 at Paw Paw, Michigan

On October 19, 1972, LuAnn Mitchell, daughter of Bud and Delores (Jones) Mitchell and Jeff Kindlespire, son of Bill and Lois Kindlespire were married in Honolulu, Hawaii.

There was 1 death since last June. Wilson Paul Jones passes away March 23, 1973 following a brief illness, He will be greatly missed by everyone.

We hope everyone enjoys the change in location for the reunion this year. We hope Grandma and Grandpa will enjoy this reunion more and will be free to do more visiting.

At this time, two great grandchildren are pending. Tom and Evelyn Heidenreich and Jeff and LuAnn Kindlespire. Everyone is patiently waiting.

There were 54 people present at this reunion. A baby shower was held for Evelyn Heidenreich and LuAnn Kindlespire with many lovely gifts received. Mark and Rose Jones traveled from South Carolina for their first reunion. We all got a change to see Rhonda Jones, the first great-grandchild. There were two engagements announced. Tim Heidenreich is engaged to Marie Pruitt and Fred Heidenreich, Jr. is engaged to Rita Hallahan. No wedding dates are set. A much enjoyed guest was Joe Manis, who arrived with Sonny and Marilyn Jones. A total of $145.00 was received and the total bills came to $102.74. This left a surplus of $44.26 in the treasury.

Joe, Rollan, Marilyn, Terry, and Cheryl all arrived by air in a black and white with red strip, 260 Commanche low wing plane No. 8572P. We hope Phil and Ann Thoms enjoyed their first reunion. We were happy to see them.

All in all, including a croweded and hectic time getting in and out of the bathroom, a good time was had by all.

A balance of $44.26 was turned into the treasury and given to Rollan L. Jones.
