Kozy Coach

This is a brochure that Rollan Jones made so that he could build campers and sell them.

He was building this in his spare time when I was pregnant with Cheryl. We were in the
hospital all day waiting for her to be born. When she still wasn’t here by 9 p.m., Rollan
asked if I cared if he went home and worked on the camper. Of course Cheryl was born
before he could get back to the hospital.









Rollan got into the mobile home business at Kozy Coach Company in Kalamazoo, Mi.
This is a picture of one of there coaches. Kozy Coach was a division of Mid=States Corp.
Which had a number of factorys. I remember that each year it was the job of one of the
factory’s to refurbish a special mobile home for the show. One year they had a swimming
pool attached to the mobile home. At that time the units that went to the shows were not
like the models that were sold. They were very fancy and the people that bought mobile
homes apparently wanted practical and inexpensive as possible.
