Downtown Lawrence Michigan
Marilyn Crandall worked all during high school in the drug store next to the bank with Lloyd Cook and Mr. Jennings. She worked the soda fountain and sales clerk. The men didn't want to wrap the "female" products so mom was drafted. Coke was served and made with syrup and carbonated water. This was pre-bottled coca-cola. They served marshmallow syrup on their sundaes and she would have to stir and stir to make it thin enough to drizzle on.
