Joseph Jones was born in Wales as well as his wife, Emily Malott (Mallot, Mellot, Melot).Thanks to Claire Miller their birthdates were found in the book of
Clermont County Cemeteries, on page 94.
They are buried in the Taylors Chapel Cemetery, Greenbush
Road, Brown County, three and one-half miles from Williamsburg, Ohio.They had one stone.
Not much is known about Joseph and Emily other than they lived in Brown County, Ohio.Joseph help cut the right of way for a narrow gauge railroad, the Norfolk and Western. Railroad headquarters were in Norfolk, Virginia.
Joseph and Emily were the parents of eight children: Elizabeth (Lizzie), William (Billy), Simon, Joseph, Steven, Stewart (Steward, Stuart), John and David LeRoy Jones, my Grandfather.
The Mallot (Mellot, Melot) name is spelled MALOTT on the tax records.
